Introduction

Ultrasonic couplant is used to couple ultrasonic gauges to the surface they are reading on. The gel like consistency of the couplant ensures that the ultrasonic pulses are able to smoothly transition to the surface.

Ultrasound gel acts as a conductive medium between the transducer and skin. It eliminates air pockets that reflect sound waves, ensuring a clear acoustic path. This allows the waves to travel deep into the body to create high-quality diagnostic images of organs, tissues, or developing fetuses.
